# General Information
The General Information (GI) content type offers one of the most flexible CTs. With options to add in images, different titles, descriptions, side bars and links; it has a wide variety of uses. See the below example of a general information page for reference.
# Page Heading
This field is used as a heading displayed at the top of the dashboard pages.
# Title
Use this title field for internal reference when looking to identify the page. See the below image for reference.
# Icon
The Icon field provides a drop-down assortment of different icon options that will be displayed next to the page heading and in the dashboard menu bar.
If you are not seeing an icon that you would like to use, please see this section to lear how you can use a custom icon
# Content Blocks
This section offers the ability to add images, titles, and HTML text blocks in any order, which will make up the ‘content body’ of the page.
# Guidelines
The CSS class and ‘Add JSON’ fields should not be used.
# Side Bar
The Side Bar card offers similar field functions to the admin block including title, image, and HTML, however, appears on the dashboard as a side menu. It also has an additional ‘Add Card’ feature (see reference below) which appears as a side bar block that can combine images, titles, and HTML text as one single entity.
# Guidelines
The CSS class and ‘Add JSON’ fields should not be used.
# Slug
The Slug field (see below for reference) determines the last URL segment that will appear in the browser URL bar. For example, if page title is Overview and its parent page is Dashboard, then a good slug could be overview
. If left empty, Drupal's default slug will be used, e.g. node/001
.
This is important for SEO and link sharing purposes.
# Colour
The colour of the page card in the Overview page of the dashboard can be customised for your own preference.
If not selected, the Primary color selected in Council CT will be used.
# Badge
Small badge/icon displayed in the menu.
